Timing and activities
The camp will be over three nights, from Thursday evening to mid-day on Sunday. It will include a range of activities for all ages, including daily Quaker worship and social events. We encourage you to take part in the shared activities as fully as you can.
There will be a programme of supervised activities for children and young people. Outside these times, children are the responsibility of their adult carers. Everyone who is able (including children & young people) will be expected to share in the work of the community by signing up for shared tasks. Some roles, such as leading activities and cooking, will also be arranged in advance via the booking form.
Site and accommodation
The camp site is in a woodland, with lots of beautiful spaces to explore, and also includes some indoor accommodation.
Campers will need to bring their own tents and equipment. There are no electric hooks ups and the camping pitches are not accessible by vehicle. No camper vans or caravans are permitted on the site.
Some indoor accommodation is available in dormitories of 2-6 beds (see details here). There are also ground floor disabled toilets and showers. Indoor accommodation will be allocated according to need, as indicated on the booking form, and will be charged at the same rates as camping.
It is possible to stay off-site, if preferred, but we ask all participants to book and attend for the whole weekend (unless by special arrangement).
No dogs are allowed onsite except guide dogs.
Food
The camp will include vegetarian and vegan meals. We will cater for medical dietary needs, and you are also welcome to bring your own supplementary food if you wish.

Photos from Yorkshire Quaker Camp 2025
The first Yorkshire Quaker Camp was launched in the summer of 2025 with 82 Friends taking part, including 28 children. Thanks to financial support from Quakers in Yorkshire it was affordable for everyone, with children under 11 going free.
The programme included Meeting for Worship for all ages each morning and evening around the campfire. There was also singing, circus skills, labyrinth making, crafts, a scavenger hunt, an all-age ‘Big Questions’ theology session and Philosophy for Communities. Organised children’s games and crafts were also available, and a creche was offered for toddlers each morning. On the final evening there was a celebration in the barn with open-mic performances and dancing.
One camper said, “The camp was a lovely idea and very well organised. My kids enjoyed it, the location and facilities were perfect and the programme rich and beautiful.”
